FIFA President Gianni Infantino personally came to Miami to hand over the decision right before the match between Inter Miami and New England Revolution.

Before this match, Inter Miami was also officially awarded the Supporters’ Shield championship title to share with the home audience. After that, if they win the match against New England Revolution, they will continue to set a new record for points in the MLS with 74 points, 1 point more than the old record set by this team in 2021.

Competing at the 2025 Club World Cup, Inter Miami will play at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, which has a capacity of 65,326. This is also the stadium where the opening match of the 2025 Club World Cup will take place.

FIFA has announced the decision to hold the new version of the 2025 Club World Cup in the US, with 32 of the world’s top clubs competing from June 15 to July 13, 2025. The tournament is also a test of the ability to organize the 2026 World Cup in the US with the two co-hosts Mexico and Canada.

Meanwhile, according to Inter Miami coach Tata Martino: “We will not do anything crazy to break the MLS points record. Inter Miami’s main goal is still the MLS Cup playoffs. We need to show our true ability, and through that we will deserve a place in the 2025 Club World Cup if recognized.”

Therefore, it is likely that coach Tata Martino will let Inter Miami’s two top players, Messi and Suarez, rest in the match against New England Revolution, despite the fact that these two players are still competing for two titles of the season, including best player and top scorer.

Inter Miami’s biggest goal is to have these and other players at their peak for the MLS Cup first round on October 26.
