Hilarious Animal Antics Captured Perfectly by Photographers

The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards (CWPA) was founded by British photographer Paul Joynson-Hicks in 2015. In addition to bringing photos that bring laughter, the organizer also wants to raise awareness. Raise awareness about wildlife conservation.

According to CNN on December 13, 10% of profits from the organization will be donated to the Whitley Foundation for Nature in the UK to support conservation leaders in the southern hemisphere.

This year, the photo of a 3-month-old lion falling from a tree by photographer Jennifer Hadley (USA) won the top prize among 5,000 entries.

Ms. Hadley shared a photo that was taken one afternoon in Serengeti, Tanzania and made her completely surprised because she did not think a lion would fall from a tree like that.

“No one expected this to happen and of course we were worried about its safety, but fortunately, with cat instincts, it reacted promptly and landed on all fours and ran away with his siblings. its. A happy ending for the unlucky cat who was confused and didn’t know how to climb down from the tree,” Ms. Hadley said.

In addition to the above award, she also won the audience’s choice award for her photo of two penguins in the Falkland Islands.

The aerial animals award went to French photographer Jean Jacques Alcalay for his photo of a hippo yawning with its mouth open as if preparing to swallow a heron standing on the back of another hippo.

The marine animal award went to photographer Arturo Telle Thiemann (Spain) with a photo of two leatherback fish that seemed to be smiling at the camera.

The youth prize went to author Arshdeep Singh (India) with a photo of an owl winking while hiding in a water pipe.

The photo series award went to author Jia Chen with a series of photos of a hawk playing soccer in Ontario, Canada.

The winners are given camera bags, and the top prize winner gets to post their photos on a website for a year and get to go to Kenya to experience photography on safari.
